The Dark Life of Thomas Kinkade

Artist Thomas Kinkade is known for his Christian inspired artwork. These cutesy pieces of painted Jesus images and snow scenes are adored by little old lady's who enjoy picking up prints at mall galleries and on Wal Mart greeting cards. What very few of these ladies know is what sort of person Thomas Kinkade is beneath his pseudo-Christian exterior.
Though Thomas Kinkade is apparently not new to controversy, having urinated on public statuary, groped female admirers, and heckled other artists in the past few decades, a new string of incidents has really brought his darkness into the light.
At this moment Kinkade is in the middle of filing bankruptcy. The filing came suspiciously enough following accusations that Kinkade fraudulently stole millions from various galleries. The drama surrounding Kinkade doesn't stop with the fraud and bankruptcy either.
Kinkade has also recently been arrested on DUI charges, though miraculously escaped conviction. The more I hear about Kinkade, the more it sickens me. Though it is the Christian way to forgive, it might be the time to look at lesser known Christian artists for reverent images and give Kinkade an education in humility that seems rightfully deserved.
