20-Ft Sculpture To Become New Local Church Landmark

The 20-feet sculpture of the image of Jesus Christ on a white horse and holding a sword will be put up in front of the Christian family Church in Owatonna. It will be the new addition to the city's known landmarks such as the jets, which have been recently moved to the airport to give way to "The Coming King", as the sculpture is aptly named.

Dr. Tim Peterson and Cherrie Peterson, the husband and wife team behind the church said that since they bought and converted the former heritage halls, they have always had the sculpture in mind to be the focal point of the church. They own the two and a half foot version of the sculpture, which they bought from Texas artist Max Greiner Jr.

The artist said, "The sculpture was inspired, I believe, by the holy spirit of God." The concept of the sculpture was based on the message depicted in the Holy Bible's Book of Revelations, Chapter 19.

The said sculpture will be erected today (Saturday, August 28) while a dedication ceremony is scheduled for the following day.
