Virginia School Removes Religious Posters To Avoid Lawsuit.

The Virginia school, which was facing a recent lawsuit over posting religious posters about the 10 commandments has decided not to waste precious resources on a lawsuit that they were sure to lose. All the '10 commandments', religious posters were taken down on Tuesday after a joint decision by the school board. This means that the Freedom from Religion Foundation and Virginia ACLU will not pursue this constitutional violation to court.
Roanoke Times reported that the school board members had been warned that they could be spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to defend their religious posters, since the Supreme Court has banned school promotion of religion and religious artwork. The religious posters displaying the commandments are particularly unconstitutional.
The board members aren't happy about removing the religious posters, but they made the right choice.
