Famous British Artist Lucan Freud Passes Away At 88

Realist painter Lucan Freud, who was one of Britain's most famous artists, died at his London home on Wednesday, July 20. The famous artist was 88 years old when he passed away. The cause of death has still not been disclosed, though sources say it was an illness of some kind. The famous artist, whose paintings guaranteed to fetch enormous amounts at auctions, was described as the greatest painter Britain has produced in the 20th century, in his obituary. Freud, who was a grandson of the famous Sigmund Freud, was born in Berlin and became an artist at a very young age. His most famous work is 'Eight Months Gone', which is a nude painting of model Jerry Hall when she was heavily pregnant. The famous artist is also well known for depicting British supermodel Kate Moss in the nude.
